How do you network?
Engaging in conversation with confidence
There are hundreds of networking events and meeting places where the foundations for promising business deals are laid. Many people find it difficult to strike up a conversation with strangers, and due to this social discomfort, avoid or fear networking events. So, how do you ensure such an event proves beneficial for you and your business? How do you cope with the awkwardness of a conversation with someone you don't know? And how do you ensure that you make meaningful connections?
What's in it for you?
In an interactive manner, you will discover, together with business developers, what is important when networking and how to do it in a way that strengthens your business. They will give you the confidence to impress at your next networking event. You'll enhance your pitch, and learn how to make an open and positive first impression. Meet the entrepreneurs

After the workshop ‘networking’, you can bring your theory into practice during and after the 'meet the entrepreneur' sessions.
After the workshop, several (regional) entrepreneurs will shortly present themselves and their expertise to the entire audience. Afterwards all attendees will split into groups of about 10 people, for round table sessions. Here, participants will have a chance to ask targeted questions to a variety of local entrepreneurs in a smaller and more intimate setting. Many of the entrepreneurs are successful alumni entrepreneurs from either Avans or BUas. Conversations and discussions should lead to teachable moments and food for thought. Students will have the opportunity to attend 2 times a half-hour round table session. At the end of the day, we will conclude with a convivial get-together including drinks. Plenty of options for networking!
